A Technical Analysis of Image Stitching Algorithm
نویسنده
چکیده
Image stitching is used to integrate information from multiple images with overlapping fields of view in order to produce a panoramic view with all the contents fitted into a single frame.Image stitching literature shows that image stitching is still a challenging problem for single and panoramic images. In recent years many algorithms have been proposed widely to tackle image stitching problem. In this paper we present a detail review of all the recent approaches proposed to tackle the image stitching issue. In addition we also discuss the image stitching process for the understanding of the reader. Keywords—Panorama, Image stitching, MultipleConstraint Corner Mapping.

Image Stitching of the Computed Radiology images Using a Pixel-Based Approach
In this paper, a method for automatic stitching of radiology images based on pixel features has been presented. In this method, according to the smooth texture of radiological images and in order to increase the number of the extracted features after quality enhancement of initial radiology images, 45 degree isotropic mask is applied to each radiology image to observe the image details. After t...
متن کاملA Technical Analysis of Image Stitching Algorithm Using Different Corner Detection Methods
An image stitching is a method of combining multiple overlapping images of the same scene into a larger image without loss of information. Literature shows the use of various corner detection algorithms in image stitching. The most widely used are Harris corner detection method and SIFTS (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) method. In this paper, a comparative study is done forHarris corner dete...

Considering the traditional image match optimization algorithm is low efficiency, and ghosting artifact in the field of image stitching is a common problem and the elimination of it is not an easy task. In this paper, we presents that through cluster analysis for different scales of feature points to obtain the global and better stable affine transformation, and the matched feature points are f...
متن کاملIllumination-invariant image mosaic calculation based on logarithmic search
This technical report describes an improved image mosaicking algorithm. It is based on Jain’s logarithmic search algorithm [Jain and Jain, 1981] which is coupled to the method of Kourogi et al. [1999] for matching images in a video sequence. Logarithmic search has a better invariance against illumination changes than the original optical-flow-based method of Kourogi.
متن کاملScale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT): Performance and Application
In 2004, David G. Lowe published his paper “Distinctive Image Features from ScaleInvariant Keypoints” (Lowe, 2004, [2]), outlining a method he developed for finding distinctive, scale and rotation invariant features in images that can be used to perform matching between different views of an object or scene. His method, Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) combines scale-space theory and fe...
